You get both Backup and Sync Functionality: ZipCloud provides a scheduled backup that will backup your files to a safe off-site location but it also provides you with a sync folder(10mg by default) that will allow you to select files that you can sync between multiple computers. No more manually syncing files to multiple computers or carrying around flash drives! It’s as easy as dragging and dropping a file into your sync folder, or right clicking on the file and selecting the "Add to Sync Folder". Plus you get both functions for the same low price.
Progress Bars: Recent updates to their user interface have now provided users with progress bars showing the over-all status of their backup as well as the status of the upload of the current file.
True Unlimited Backup: They are one of the very few companies offering a true unlimited(storage) backup. With ZipCloud there are no file size limitations, and no bandwidth throttling. You still get unlimited storage starting at $4.95/month. Other companies such as Carbonite and IDrive will either implement bandwidth throttling that will slow down your backups, or file size limitations, or both on their unlimited backup products. Other companies such as Mozy have eliminated their "unlimited" backup option all together.
Private File Sharing: ZipCloud provides the ability to share files, photos, folders and a whole lot more with family and friends by inviting them via Facebook, Twitter, email or even a custom link you create yourself. Collaboration just got a whole lot easier. ZipCloud plans to have public file sharing available December 15, 2011 to complete their file sharing capabilities.
File Versioning: By default ZipCloud will keep 7 days worth of versions of a file for you, but this can be changed to 30 days or unlimited if you wish. So if you accidentally delete a file… no worries you are covered with ZipCloud.
Web based file viewing: Don’t have access to your PC but need to view a file? No problem, you can access your files from any web browser or smart phone using ZipCloud’s mobile website.
Excellent 24/7 365 Day a Year Customer Support: ZipCloud is shooting for the best customer support team in the business. They are available to help customers with any advice and support they need. Currently customer support is available via email, their knowledge base, and video tutorials. They are setting up a new customer call center in December of 2011, with full phone support expected to online and operational shortly there-after.
No File Type Restrictions: ZipCloud gives you the ability to backup any file you choose, regardless of what type of file it is. This means that you can backup things like music, video, pictures, documents, executables, graphics and any more you could possibly think of.
Secure and Safe: ZipCloud uses industry standard 128-bit file encryption for transferring and storing your data. This is the same technology used by banks for financial transactions. They also utilize full server mirroring – which means their servers are duplicated to another completely separate data center. This protects you in case of physical disasters or power outages at the primary ZipCloud server location.
Easily Restore Files: There is no benefit to having a backup if you can’t restore your files when you need to. With ZipCloud restoring files is simple and easy. You can restore any files from both the Control Panel and desktop application in just a few clicks. Restoring from the desktop application is as easy as clicking on the "Restore Files" button – at which time you will be asked to which computer you want to restore(if you have backed up multiple computers), then you will be able to browse through the backed up files and folders to select the ones you wish to restore. Finally you will be asked to select the location(s) you want to restore the files/folders to or even create a new location if you want. At this point the restore process begins.
AnyTime Money Back Guarantee: With any of the plans, you can purchase with complete confidence knowing that if you need to cancel your subscription, ZipCloud will issue a pro-rated refund of any un-used months. This sets them apart in the online backup and storage community. Not many merchants provide this type of refund policy.
Dislikes
No Mobile App’s: Currently ZipCloud doesn’t have app’s specifically designed for use on any of the mobile devices such as the iPhone, Android or tablet devices. They also don’t support syncing to those devices at this time. Currently access via these devices is limited to using ZipCloud’s mobile website. Although the workaround of the mobile website does allow for viewing and working with files, we do hope to see mobile app’s being released from ZipCloud at some point in the near future.
Currently No Phone or Chat Customer Support: Currently the only customer support available is via email or by using their video tutorials and online knowledge base. Although their email support is 24/7 and very responsive, live chat support would be helpful. They are expecting to have a new call center with Phone support operational by the end of the year, 2011.

I signed up for this site after reading your review site and i couldn’t be happier. great product, great price and loads of features. thanks for your brilliant site, it saved me alot of trouble.
I downloaded this onto my and my partner’s computer – it worked ok on mine but hasn’t backed up most of the things on my partner’s computer (despite paying for the additional license), most frustrating about this is the complete lack of support from the website on how to fix this, they send emails suggesting things which I have already tried several times before and every emaill reply is from a different person (no sense of customer support/service). In the last three emails I have sent I asked for the details to make a complaint – this request has been ignored all three times. I have now asked for a full refund for the second license but have no confidence in the company that this will be done. In summary, zip cloud is fine if it works but if it doesn’t you are on your own with no avenues to complain or get your money back.
